  • Federal Financing Recap

Ok, several “smart”, old, rich, (lets assume) white men made several bad decisions and gambles that have led their companies (AIA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns) into serious financial trouble…

And you’re going to use my tax payer money in billion… oh wait trillions of dollars to fix what rich old white rich men wrought? This is gonna help the economy how exactly?

  • Vice President Dreams

I awoke this morning knowing Bidden was the guy chosen to be VP… which is odd, cause I was in bed at 10:00 p.m. and should not have had a clue.

Its possible that folks outside my window talked loud enough about it in the early morning that I heard, or its possible that telepathic waves emanated through the cosmos to let me know…

    its possible

  • Military Jury's

Is there any realistic chance that one of the US Military Jury’s, that we’ve created just to skate outside the law, could possibly find anyone innocent? Why are they even going through the charade at all…

There is no such thing as a fair trial in a court that was created to by pass all known laws.

  • Quitting a Church

    Obama,

You’re quitting your church, that you’ve been attending for how many years due to some comments that keep coming out of it? This church hasn’t been touting the same nonsense for the previous years that you’ve been a member, just now… yeah right.

You belonged to the church because you believed the fundamental message that the church was preaching. Now you’ve suddenly had a change of heart after how long? What opened you’re eyes? Why the sudden change of heart? Did you suddenly find that the religion of the all powerful media is a stronger faith than what you’ve been used to?

Stop for a moment and look at the fools we let talk that are “religious leaders”: Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, the Pope…. these fools continue to say incredibly insensitive things that should have them banned from the airwaves, the pulpit and certainly not ever be allowed in the White House… yet you think what’s been coming out of your church is more outrageous? Come on… Grow some balls…

At this point it’s too late, you’ve left your church… going back now and saying that you let the media and polls tell you to leave and that you want back in is stupid…

This was a dumb move. Don’t let “them” decide what is worthy of believing in a land where we preach, but don’t often practice, “freedom of religion”.

  • Tell All Books

The latest book about the Bush Presidency, from yet another insider is met again by cries of foul and disbelief. They actually continue to claim all the accusations are false…. each time one of these books comes out… how many books by how many different people will it take before they actually turn around, look at Monkey Boy and say… yep, he’s a lying tyrant that I’ve helped to wage a war that never had to be…

  • Money and Morales

Lets sit and think about how much money is donated to the people who want to enforce morale principles of the Religious Right and Republicans… Millions if not Billions of dollars given to organizations that are morally superior to the rest of the nation.

Meet some of the finer examples of church and state:

Tom Foley (text messaging teen agers explicit content)

Father Oliver O’Grady (pedophile that the church moved from town to town when he needed new children)

    Rush Limbaugh (prescription addiction)

Vice President Dick Cheney (says the F word on live TV)

Lets send them more money… obviously it’s helping.

  • Wrong Message… again

OK, so I fail to see why recent happenings ( Amish Incident, Wisconsin Principal, Colorado Sexual Assualt ) are about school violence and not about Gun Control Laws. Someone explain to me how children managed to get guns to kill a principal. Or how crazy people that are obviously in need of help, managed to get a gun to kill and or rape girls in classrooms.

Mr. President (A.K.A. Monkey Boy), this isn’t about school violence…

  • Politicians in hind sight…

The first election of George W. Bush (if you can call a court decision an election), filled my very soul with a fear I could not describe at the time. I remember a discussion with my Ma at the time, and she felt pretty much the same way, an overall fear of the future if he would have won.

Sadly, as you all know, he did “win” the legal battle.

As I listen now to the Iranian President and the Venezuelan President, I sincerely agree with them. I think, as Chavez stated, that George W. Bush is the devil himself; I am speaking a bit figuratively, I don’t actually believe in the devil, but if there were one, his motives would match those of “W”‘s for sure.

It’s said over and over again, even last night on CBS Evening news in their Free Speech segment… the amount of people with a hatred for the US of A has increased ten fold since he took office. This is true, watch the news… see what the people have to say and do.

So at what point do we, as a people change, when do we wake up and smell the coffee and change the direction of our country to something that is more positive in the world. When do we stop being the world bully, and stop policing the values and rights of other nations?

I’m also in agreement that the UN is a joke, their declaration, sanctions and protestations amount to nothing. And, giving the original 5 founders veto rights and no one else is a laughable attempt at democracy.

Times are a changing… When do we change with them?

  • Why I don't Vote for Primary Elections

I find it to be a waste of time…

Lets face it, these candidates have been bombarding the public for months now with pamphlets, ads, volunteers and news stories. We knew months ago who would win, and barring a last minute scandal that’s exactly what always happens.

However, now they plan to sick more of their volunteers more of their ads… more of the mudslinging up to the date of the election, the real one that matters.

And think of how much money is wasted ads, signs, bumper stickers and the like… is this really necessary? Aren’t there worthy causes out there that could use the millions spent by each candidate?

I’ll vote in November, thanks… now get your flyer out of my face!

  • 5 Years Later

The first thing that comes to mind is the still photograph on CNN, of the impact site on the first tower. In the background we could see another plane headed in the same direction; then we knew it was more than an accident. I was working at Children’s Hospital on the 6th floor. When the second tower was hit people started to get a little crazier saying it must have been an accident or something. When Sheila came screaming out of her room “They’ve bombed the Pentagon!!!” I remember thinking that she had to be crazy… the Pentagon has to be the most secure building on the planet… no way could then bomb it. But, the smoke we could see from the window confirmed her story only a bomb could make that column of smoke so big.

The phones in DC lit up, everyone was trying to call someone to check on them. They hospital sent messages asking everyone not to use the phones cause the government needed them. That didn’t stop people, I did manage to call my hyperventilating mom, and my clueless friends who were busy at work and not watching the news… Midwest Work ethic!

People were in tears, freaked out. Some people didn’t understand the impact at all and asked “Was her kid on the plane? If not, why is she crying?”

Everyone was sent home early, they said on the news not leave your house if you didn’t have to. I and probably the rest of the nation then watched the two towers collapse on live TV. Then the images were put into cycles, they would show the crash over and over again. It became a little more than disturbing.

There was a caravan of tow trucks inching along the road near the pentagon, each one of them had a flag shown proudly honking their horns as they drove past. The huge black spot marring the surface of what I had assumed would never be marred, the Pentagon. The firemen near the Pentagon, the military in the streets of DC that appeared from nowhere. Acts that seemed entirely too childish or silly; banning french fries from menus, gathering on the front steps to say the Pledge of Allegiance, saying it was God’s way of punishing us for Gays and liberals.

Mostly I look back and see those images in my head and start to tear up. Today I can’t do sirens well… everytime I hear them or see an emergency vehicle of some kind I start to tear up; its probably some kind of PTSD. I don’t want to forget though, I never want to forget the images and feelings associated with that day. I don’t want you to forget either.
